The editor-in-chief, who has seen the Harry Potter series more than 100 times in total, also introduces the highlights.
"Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone".
Here's what Harry Potter looks like in "Philosopher's Stone"
- Age: 10-11 years old
- Daniel Radcliffe (as Harry): age 11
- Grade: First year at Hogwarts
Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), who lost his parents 10 years ago and was sent to the Dursleys, receives a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry one day.
Harry did not know that he could use magic, but upon entering the magical world, he discovered that he was the only person who could cast a spell back at the "Dark Lord" Voldemort (Richard Bremmer).
On the train to Hogwarts, he befriends the pure-blood wizard Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint), who teaches him the various customs of the wizarding world. Meanwhile, Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) is a bitter, Muggle (human), honor student type, but all three have chosen to enroll in the same Gryffindor.
When Halloween arrives, the Hogwarts schoolhouse is attacked by an evil troll. This incident leads the three to realize that someone is trying to steal the Philosopher's Stone, which belongs to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and is believed to give eternal life...!
Harry's innate magical talent and sense of justice, which carry the wizarding world on their shoulders, are on display for the first time this season! And don't miss the scene where Ron and Hermione, who later become Harry's best friends, meet!
"Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets".

As the new term begins, a series of ominous events occur at Hogwarts. Harry, Ron, and Hermione try to uncover the truth behind the events, but Hermione also becomes a victim.
As Voldemort's shadow darkens in this film, the unexpected similarities between him and Harry are striking. The humorous appearance of the handsome and popular wizard Lockhart (Kenneth Branagh) is up close and personal, so be sure to keep an eye out for him (laughs).

Back at Hogwarts, Dumbledore announces that for the first time in 100 years, there will be a competition between the wizarding schools. Hogwarts, Durmstrang, and Beauxbatons are chosen by the Goblet of Fire to represent the 17+ age group, but why is Harry, a minor, chosen as the fourth representative?
The competition thus takes place, but this person is beginning to move under the radar....
There are some heartwarming scenes depicting Harry's love life as an adult, but there are also many painful scenes for Harry, such as the breakdown of his friendship with Ron and Voldemort's return. I always fast forward to the tournament finals...
"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"
Here's what Harry Potter looks like in "Order of the Phoenix"

To counter the dark forces, Harry and his friends formed the "Dumbledore's Army," teaching practical magic and learning defenses against the dark arts. The time for a showdown with Lord Voldemort is approaching.
I am very angry at the way Umbridge has been treated ... (laughter) I am impressed by Harry and his friends' willingness to build up their own power and fight against wizards, without relying on adults. The death of Sirius, the only family member who supported Harry, is painful.

As Harry and his friends continue their quest for the Horcruxes, Voldemort receives one of the Deathly Hallows, the Elder Wand. The dark power of the Elder Wand only magnifies!
Thinking that the remaining Horcruxes are at Hogwarts, Harry and his friends manage to break into the castle. However, the battle with the Death Eaters finally begins, and they see their hostile teachers and friends losing their lives one by one.
Meanwhile, Voldemort killed Snape, believing Snape to be the owner of the Elder Wand. Snape, realizing that he still loves and protects Harry's mother and that Harry himself is the last Horcrux, challenges them to a head-on confrontation.
Harry, who has grown up to be a fine Chosen One, faces his fate and is ready to fight to the death. It's very sad to lose his friends, but there's plenty to see in this film, including the confrontation between McGonagall and Snape, Neville's exploits, and the scene where Molly defeats Bellatrix!
After watching the Harry Potter series, we recommend watching the Fantastic Beasts series. The worldview is the same as the Harry Potter series, but the setting is America. Also, the time period is 70 years before the Philosopher's Stone, so of course Harry and his friends do not appear.
However, to understand the world view, it is recommended to watch it after the Harry Potter series.
