Women Talking is as much a stalled and painful movie to watch as also a movie that celebrates a group of brave women who can call spade a spade without having to color any more truths. Precisely 8 women had to go through the nerve-wrenching pain day in and day out from their own husbands and brothers, and suffered in silence.

Many Critics from Variety and The Hollywood Reporter have quoted that despite the hazy, uphill, and downhill of the story, it's a subject matter that requires to be heard and talked about regardless of its material as far as content is concerned.

It is a hard film in the sense that it has a complex storyline that it is trying to weave and is not leaving any stones unturned to politically permeate a message. The main material and crux of the story are about a group of nuns from a colony in Bolivia who were raped and they range mind you from 3 to 30 years of age. All of these Women had been offered cattle anesthetic and they were raped when they were under the influence of it. When confronting the male members about the situation, the nuns were given this sort of hope that their sins will be washed away as the occurrences occurring now are just repercussions of sins they have done.

Women Talking really thought about 8 nuns but 3 of them actually specifically stand out as they had differing opinions to fight the situation at hand with an open mind. These three varying opinions gave a direction and a path to the film.
